Former ESPN Commentator Who Was Fired for Racist Remark Against Venus Williams Suffers Heart Attack
5 marzo 2017, 12:31
Tennis - Doug Adler, the ESPN commentator who was fired for using a derogatory remark against Venus Williams during the Australian Open, has suffered a heart attack. Adler used the word guerrilla to describe Williams' tactics but the viewers picked it up as gorilla and called it a racist remark.

Fox Sports Radio's Outkick the Coverage Host Clay Travis told BET "He had a heart attack, nearly died. Doctors say that the stress of ESPN firing him and being publicly branded a racist for something he did that wasn’t racist at all exacerbated his heart conditions and led him to have a heart attack.”

Adler has filed a lawsuit against ESPN for firing him from his commentating duties during the Australian Open.
